We’re rebranding. Krescent Media is now Beyond Bananas — same team, sharper focus.
One of our popular digital products is personal branding for C-suite executives, which you can view here.
Most executives usually ask, “Why do I need to work on my personal brand? I’m not looking for a job.”
Opportunities go to the most visible, not the most qualified. ( boards, partnerships, speaking)
Legacy
Value — when you have a strong personal brand, you don’t just represent your company, you increase your value within it.
Positioning - If you don’t define how people see you, they will do it for you.
Trust - Before anyone works with you, refers you, or brings you into a room, they look you up.
Now, we understand most of you are extremely busy, which is where AI comes in. Before getting into how you can use it for your personal brand, here are a few things to keep in mind.
Transparency - Make it clear to your audience when AI is generating content, rather than trying to pass it off as your own unassisted work.
Value-addition - Use AI to create content, insights or experiences that genuinely benefit your audience, rather than just using it for self-promotion.
Oversight - Maintain human review and control over AI-generated outputs to ensure quality, accuracy and alignment with your brand values.
Compliance - Understand and adhere to any relevant regulations or guidelines around the use of AI.
The key is to be thoughtful, transparent and intentional about how you integrate AI into your personal branding efforts.
1. Turn your ideas into content
Don’t let AI do all the work. What sets you apart is your experience, your thinking, your point of view.
All you need to do is take your raw thoughts, and put them into any generative AI tool. It will help you structure it and give you something to work with.
But don’t just copy and paste.
Go over it, review it, and bring your voice back in. That’s where the value is. AI can give you context, but it can’t give you your authority.
2. Automation
The biggest issue for most leaders is not ideas, it’s consistency.
You get busy, and suddenly you disappear for weeks.
That’s where automation comes in. You can sit down once, create a few pieces of content, and schedule them ahead of time using tools like Buffer or Hootsuite
So even when you’re in meetings or traveling, your profile is still active.
You don’t need to be online every day. You just need to be present consistently.
3. Content
AI-generated posters are already being overused and people can tell. We are strong advocates for working with graphic designers and keeping things clean and professional.
But when it comes to video, it’s a bit different.
You’re busy. Sitting down to record content all the time is not always practical.
You can use AI to help you create simple videos, test ideas, or add a creative angle to your content. People are already experimenting with random, creative concepts. t’s different, it catches attention, and that’s the point.
Just be creative with it.
4. Brainstorming
AI is useful when you feel stuck.
You can use it to come up with ideas, look at different angles, or help you think through a topic.
But it’s still important to work with professionals who understand positioning and strategy.
AI can give you options, but it won’t tell you what direction to take or how to stand out. That part needs intention.
5. Being social
This is where most people get it wrong.
Posting is not enough. You need to actually be social.
Reply to comments, engage with people, be part of conversations. You can use AI to help you draft responses if you’re short on time, but you still need to show up.
People connect with people, not just content.
The more visible you are in conversations, the more people trust you, and that’s what builds real opportunities.
