Founded in 2017 by Vaidehi Tembhekar, Busy Boda was created to improve rider incomes and provide a safer, more professional alternative to traditional informal motorcycle taxis.

Busy Boda, initially positioned as a B2C ride-sharing app, encountered fierce competition from SafeBoda shortly after entering the Kenyan market. Despite initial efforts in website building, SEO, social media market-ing, and various promotional activities, the company faced a significant challenge as SafeBoda gained traction.
To overcome this challenge, a strategic shift was initiated from a B2C to a B2B model.
This posed a unique challenge, given the ex-isting reputation as a boda boda rider app.
The solution involved a comprehensive re-branding strategy. This encompassed a shift
in website copywriting and keywords to focus on delivery services. Simultaneously, social media strategies were revamped to engage business owners directly through targeted Facebook groups, collaborations, and strate-gic media buying.
